Yangpyeong, located in the middle of the Korean peninsula, is surrounded by several mountains including Youngmunsan Mountain and the Namhangang and Bukhangang River.The Yangpyeong Strawberry Festival is held from February to May. Visitors can pick their own strawberries at the strawberry farms and participate in a variety of activities and programs in the village. Reservation is required.

Jeollanam-do(Jindo-gun)

Jindo Bridge is the only twin cable-stayed bridge in Korea. It measures 484m in length and 11.7m in x_width, and is located between Nokjin, Gunnae-myeon, Jindo-gun and Hakdong, Munnae-myeon, Haenam-gun on National Road No.18. The bridge has been a popular tourist attraction since its completion on Octover 18th, 1984. On December 15th, 2005, the second Jindo Bridge opened. Visitors can observe the breath-taking beauty of the sunset and evening views from the bridge while enjoying the fantastic nearby scenery. Uldolmok is also known as the location of Myeongnyang Daecheop, one of the three major naval battles won by Admiral Yi Sun-sin. Uldolmok, a passage to the West Sea, is a strait between Haenam and Jindo. The x_width of the strait is only 294m, which is similar to that of the Hangang River. The Jindo Bridge is the most accessible gateway to Jindo Island, a place with many local specialties and unique cultural arts.


Gyeongsangnam-do(Hamyang-gun)

A lush tapestry of cool mountain valleys, majestic waterfalls, and towering peaks, Jirisan National Park has the proud distinction of being Korea’s first official national park. The Jirisan Mountain Range extends across three of Korea’s southernmost provinces: Jeollabuk-do, Jeollanam-do and Gyeongsangnam-do. The mountain is home to 6 temples in the Gyeongsangnam-do area alone (Ssanggyesa Temple, Daewonsa Temple, Naewonsa Temple, Beopgyesa Temple, Chilbulsa Temple and Silsangsa Temple) and is revered in part for its stunning scenery. The Chilseon and Hansin valley areas are particularly well known for their beauty and are frequented by tourists throughout the year.

Jeollanam-do(Gwangyang-si)

Serving as the boundary between Jeollanam-do and Gyeongsangnam-do, the Seomjingang River (섬진강) boasts the cleanest water among Korea’s five largest rivers. Every March the Baegunsan Mountain (백운산) at the downstream of Seomjingang River is covered with plum blossoms. Seomjin Village, in Gwangyang, Jeollanam-do – alias Maehwa (Plum Blossom) Village (매화마을) – has a vast wild field of more than 132,231m2 entirely covered with plum blossoms. 100,000 plum trees blossoming all together offer a magnificent view. North of the village is Hwagaejangteo marketplace (화개장터) and east of it is Pyeongsa-ri, the main setting for Park Gyeong-ri’s saga novel The Land. People gathering Jaecheop (clean water clams), below the farm in the mud flats of the Seomjingang River, offers a great view. The ‘Maehwa Festival’ or Plum Blossom Festival is held in Seomjin Village every March.


Jeollanam-do(Jangseong-gun)

Jangseong Baegyang Maple Festival is held in the Baegyangsa Temple area of Baegamsan Mountain. Performances include "maple's harmony," "nostalgia 7080," and a music concert in the maple forest. Hands-on programs include hand painting maple ceramics, making maple bookmarks, and other exhibtions and additional events for visitors.


Chungcheongnam-do(Gongju-si)

Gongju National Museum is holding a Seollal·Daeboreum Tradition & Cultural Event so that visitors can celebrate Seollal and Daeboreum with their families at the museum.During the event, visitors can enjoy varied programs such as a jegichagi contest, new year's card making, folk games, and a samulnori performance.
