Before one of the singers (Kim Won Joo) leaves for military duty, the 4Men duo will be performing in a two-day goodbye concert scheduled for August 29 and 30.

The Goesan Red Pepper Festival is held during harvest season to promote the excellence of peppers grown in Goesan, a major production area of Korea. The festival has numerous programs, including pepper-picking and fish-catching contest (using the bare hands), pepper recipe competition, pepper cooking contest, and garden pepper planting. Gwangsan Woori Mil Festival is held around Songsan Resort in Gwangsan-gu, the nation's largest wheat (mil; 밀) producing area. Since beginning to be held, the festival created opportunities to consider the value of wheat and the importance of the ingredients in our foodstuffs, and is expected to have economic effects as a productive festival.It aims to revive the farming culture and farming area by growing and marketing healthy wheat as well as coexist with production and consumption from the local area and city alike. Through this festival, producers and consumers can build up trust and reliability through healthy food products for living, giving this festival a more enriching meaning.

Gyeryongsan Mountain is known for its diverse range of plants and animals, natural surroundings, mysterious legends, and cultural treasures that have made the mountain one of Korea's sacred mountains since the ancient times. Many visitors travel to the mountain every year for some spiritual healing and meditation. A traditional ceremony that originally began as a gesture of gratitude continued from the Baekje through the Joseon Dynasties, the Sanshinje was recognized as a national event. However, it was temporarily halted when the supervising party of the festival had to stop holding the ceremony in order to join the fight against the Japanese occupation. The festival was later restored by Sim U-Seong, the head of the Gongju Folk Drama Museum, and is now held annually in April. The ceremony draws many visitors thanks to the beautiful spring scenery of Gyeryongsan Mountain. There are also many attractions and traditional performances during the event. Yanghwa-ri Village, the main venue of the festival, is where the heritage and culture of Sanshinje ceremony are well preserved.

The Yeongju Seonbi Culture Festival takes place from early to mid May every year at the Seonbichon Village and Korean Seonbi Culture Training Center in Sunheung-myeon, Yeongju-si. A celebratory ribbon-cutting ceremony is held on the first day, marking the beginning of the festivities. Other activities included a calligraphy performance, Seonghaksipdo Pangakgoyje ceremony and a bibimbap performance added more fun and entertainment to the first day. Following the opening celebration, a special parade entitled ‘Shinbaram Street Parade’ inspired by the ideals, spirit and patriotism of Sambong Jeong Do-Jeon (one of the major figures in Yeongju) takes place. Other festival events include Jangseong (traditional totem pole) sculpting competition, Sobaeksan Mountain Trail Hiking, Samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) Cooking Competition, traditional wedding ceremony for multi-cultural families, Hanbok (Korean traditional costume) fashion show, writing contest, children’s Seonbi exercise presentation, traditional head of the family cuisine exhibition, and a concert at an time-honored traditional house. G-Star 2012 is a global game exhibition taking place from November 8th through 11th at BEXCO in Busan. It is hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism (MCST) of Korea together with the Busan Municipal City, and aims to improve the domestic game industry and introduce new gaming trends and the latest technologies. This year, 434 companies from 31 countries (the largest scale to date) will participate in the event under the theme of ‘Game, Touching the World’ Along with the game exhibition, there will be various programs including a business consulting session, recruitment fair, networking party, seminars and talks, game zone, Korea-China Game Culture Festival and so on. Admission is 6,000 won for adults and 3,000 won for children. Tickets are available online (Interpark) and at the door.

The Sunrise Busan Festival, has been held each year to welcome in the new millennium, has established itself as the premier coastal cultural festival, taking place on land, sea and sky, and including an air show and a ship flotilla at sea. Among those eager to greet the first sunrise of the new year after bidding farewell to the final sunset, the Sunrise Busan Festival is a popular winter festival, particularly among foreign tourists. At Yongdusan Park, there will be an array of artistic and festive events for the new year – as well as an opportunity to watch the first sunrise of the year, from this panoramic vantage point in downtown Busan. Events both large and small will be staged at many other popular tourist sites around Busan, including at Dadaego Beach, Haeundae Beach, Gwangalli Beach and Dalmaji Park, for those intent on seeing the year’s first sunrise.

During the annual Busan Port Lighting Festival, a myriad of lights illuminate the port area, while various performances and experience programs take place across the city. Some of the highlights of the festival include the hot air balloon station and the International Performance Arts & Art Camp, which stages several light and laser shows.

The Anmyeondo Beach Shrimp Festival is held every fall in Taean County, Chungcheongnam-do Province where the area is famous for harvesting enormous tiger prawns. During the festival, visitors can sample a variety of fresh shrimp as well as crab, gizzard shads (Herring), abalone, and clams at reasonable prices. The festival also offers a list of exciting programs such as celebrity guest performances, a fireworks show, singing contest, shrimp-peeling contest, and shrimp-catching contest. Shrimp and prawns in the Taean area are known for their succulent taste. They can grow in size to 20cm and are best enjoyed during the fall. Anmyeondo Beach is also home to many by popular year-round attractions including Kkotji, Sambong, and Anmyeondo Natural Recreation Forest.
