The Sunchang Fermented Sauce Festival is held every fall at Sunchang, a city of health and longevity. Sunchang hot pepper sauce, which used to be presented to the royal family in the Joseon Dynasty, is believed to have many health benefits, such as being beneficial in preventing cancer and obesity. As people have gotten more interested in their health and well-being, hot sauce has become an even greater part of the Korean diet.The venue of the festival is Hot Sauce Folk Village, a mecca of Sunchang Hot Sauce. There are a range of programs, including celebrity performances, percussion performances, madangnori, and making traditional hot sauce. Other events include Sunchang Specialty Exhibition (e.g. vegetables fermented in hot sauce, bokbunja liquor), Children’s Painting Contest, and photo exhibits. The festival’s crowning glory is the Sunchang traditional hot sauce competition, a must-see event.

This year’s D. Festa, also known as the Daehangno Street Performance Festival, will be broadcasting through online live streaming. The performances will take place based on the festival’s slogan “Suddenly, Like an Imagination,” consisting of joint productions and 15 guest performances. The main programs include theatre troupe Sadari's performance "My Friend Yangmalmok," Korean mime toupe Pan, performing “The Wandering Knight,” and 42Project, performing “Let’s Not Do This.”

Hamyang Ginseng Festival is held at Hamyangsangrim Forest, Natural Monument No. 154. The area of Hamyang stretches across Jirisan Mountain and Deokusan Mountain and features high quality wild ginseng and herbs that bring many domestic and overseas visitors to the area. This healthy well-being festival helps to promote and distribute wild ginseng and herbs produced in Hamyang. .

FLYING - Hwarang Wonjeongdae, a special edition of the original FLYING Silk Road, will be performed at Gyeongju World Culture Expo Park in a special performance hall as one of the events at Silk Road Gyeongju 2015. One of the leading non-verbal directors, Choi Cheolgi, who directed ‘Nanta,’ ‘Jump,’ ‘Bibap,’ and more also created this performance, starting from Gyeongju World Culture Expo in 2011 until now, performing for over 400,000 audience so far and gaining a lot of attention as a local permanent performance. The plot of FLYING - Hwarang Wonjeongdae features a Silla Hwarang, a type of warrior, trying to catch the escaping goblin, Dokkaebi, by teleporting to modern times through a time trap, arriving at Silla High School. The show is comprised of gymnastics, rhythm gymnastics, valley dance, B-boying, circus acts, as well as martial arts from Hwarang in the Silla Dynasty, creating various types of entertainment to watch and providing pleasure by the change of scenery through Silla, China, India, Persia, and Gyeongju.

The Silleuksa Temple Resort area hosts the Yeoju Ogok Naru Festival. This festival is a great place for visitors to see Yeoju's argricultural and local products, such as rice, sweet potatos, peanuts and fruits.

The Geochang International Festival of Theatre, which opens every year with topics of nature, man, and drama, can be enjoyed in the beautiful valleys of Susengdae during the day and under the midnight stars at night. The festival is one of the many that are succesfully held by the local self-governing organizations. Tamnaguk is the ancient name for Jeju Island, once a small country, and the term Ipchun means the first day of spring. The coming of spring was also the beginning of the farming season, and Tamnaguk Ipchun Gut Nori is the customary gut (exorcism) ritual performed by the people of Jeju to pray for a bountiful harvest. In modern times, this event is an authentic reenactment of the many traditional gut rituals and is also held to welcome the coming of spring. Festival Overview: The festival is held for two days with an opening ceremony in the evening, followed by the main event on Ipchun day. The opening ceremony features a procession by Jeju citizens dressed in traditional clothing followed by lively music and traditional instruments made up of gongs and drums. On the second day (the first day of spring), the festival will proceed to downtown Jeju, stopping here and there to perform gut rituals. Generally a gut ritual expresses ancient beliefs; and specifically, the ipchun gut is meant to ensure a bountiful harvest at the end of the agricultural season. The ritual performers will wear tal (Korean traditional mask). A spring-related photo exhibition and drawing contest will also be held during the festival, and photos will be exhibited. Hands-on programs include making rice cakes in the traditional way from scratch to finish, and creating tal masks. Visitors can also experience traditional folk games like jegi chagi (shuttlecock) and paengi chigi (top spinning). Festival Highlights: As the festival name indicates, the highlight of the event is the gut performance. This ritual differs from those in other regions as it is performed according to local traditions with costumes unique to Jeju Island. Visitors will also enjoy walking with the farmers’ band and even “banging heads” the way band members do. For a good view of the ritual, arrive early to get a front-row seat just in front of the altar.

The Hampyeong Grand Chrysanthemum Festival started in the autumn of 2004 as a part of the city’s plan for making Hampyeong an enjoyable city all year round. Visitors can enjoy the fall mood to their hearts content with the many insects and various structures decorating the festival grounds. Over 2,000 works made from real chrysanthemum flowers are on display. The crowning glory this year is the 33.3m long, 8m high Gwanghwamun Gate replica at the central plaza. In addition to the beautiful flowers, visitors can experience a multitude of activities, including playing traditional games, making their own chrysanthemum tea, feeding parrots, and more.

Miryang Summer Performing Arts Festival is held in Miryang-si Youth Training Center, and Songnim Park area centered on Miryang Theater Village. Miryang-si won a special award from the 44th Donga Play Awards in 2008, making this city famous for performing arts. All genre of programs like comic drama, musical, puppet show, live band, dance musical, b-boy dance performance, magic stage, mime performance and other programs are available at the festival.

The Korea Wine Festival takes place annually at the Yeongdong County Gymnasium and the area around the Yeongdong-based wine company, Wine Korea Inc. Chungbuk Yeongdong County is the largest grape producing region in Korea and was recently designated a 'Grape/Wine Special Industry Zone,' the only one of its kind in the country. An event for wine lovers and Yeongdong residents alike, the festival offers a variety of musical performances, foods, and programs that will introduce visitors to the world of wine and cultivate a genuine spirit of fun. The festival will be holding an exhibit of some of the world's most popular wines, along with wines made from grapes grown in Yeongdong County. Other festival highlights include a wine & jazz concert, a wine quiz competition, a wine auction, and hands-on experience programs such as making wine soap, wine chocolate, or wine Tteokbokki (rice pasta in spicy sauce). At the festival, Wine Korea Inc. releases its ‘Nouveau’ wine made from the year’s grape harvest.
