KBS has dropped the first teaser for 2019 KBS Song Festival! The event, which for the first time will be held at KINTEX (Korea International Exhibition Center) in Ilsan, has been confirmed for December 27 at 7:50 p.m. KST, and the first lineup of artists includes BTS, GOT7, ITZY, MONSTA X, TWICE, NU’EST, Red Velvet, and SEVENTEEN. Namwon Chunhyang Festival is thought to be one of the best traditional festivals in Korea and famous performance art festival for two consecutive years, selected by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The festival is annually held to commemorate Chunhyang’s continual devotion with Lee Mongryong despite all the trials and hard situations she endured, based on the famous Korean love story, Chunhyangjeon.

The "Busan Fireworks Festival" takes place every October along Gwangalli Beach. The festival’s diverse programs of cultural events, high-tech laser light shows, and myriad of unique and colorful fireworks make this one of the area’s most popular festivals, drawing crowds of over 1 million visitors each year. This festival celebrates the beautiful lotus flowers and highlights the importance of preserving wild flowers. Though the festival’s program contains many events related to lotus flowers, making paper lotus flowers and making lotus flower soap are two particularly popular programs with international visitors. The Andong region has many renowned historical and cultural sites, such as Hahoe Village. However, the major cultural attraction of the region is the Andong Mask Dance Festival.Visitors to the festival can enjoy the many performances of Korea’s traditional mask dances. These dances are an important part of Korea’s heritage, in particular the byeolsingut talnori dance, which has been designated an Important Intangible Cultural Asset of Korea. International mask dance troupes have also been invited to the festival, so visitors are exposed to folk culture from around the world.As well as performances, events in the festival program also include mask dance competitions and mask dance lessons, which are available for international visitors.

Pangshow is a hands-on variety performance that invites the audience to participate in the baking of bread (read as bbang in Korean). The show originates from the popular Korean TV drama “King of Baking, Kim Tak-gu” (2010), which has been televised across twelve countries in Asia. The performers and audience join hands to bake bread together while enjoying an exciting performance of drumming, B-boy dance, acrobatics, and comic acting. After the show, warm, fresh-baked “pang” will be served to the audience members.
