Seoul City Tour Bus (서울시티투어)

Launched in October 13, 2000, the Seoul City Tour Bus introduces tourists to Seoul’s major attractions. The bus departs every 30 minutes from Exit 6 of Gwanghwamun Station (Seoul Subway Line 5). One ticket will grant you access to all its routes throughout the day. Simply get off at your chosen attraction, tour the area, and catch the next bus according to the bus schedule to continue your trip. Each bus is equipped with personal voice guidance systems (headphones installed in every seat) which allow the passengers to listen to information about the attractions in Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese and French.

Sculpture Park of Keumkuwon

The Sculpture Park of Keumkuwon (est. 1966) is Korea’s first sculpture park and was registered as Private Museum No. 277 with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 2003. Many of the roughly 100 sculptures are realistic in style and are related to one another, making viewers feel as if a story is unfolding right before their eyes. Main pieces include ‘Farmer’s hands,’ ‘Thoughts about the Limited and the Unlimited,’ and ‘The Sky in the West.’ The sculptures are made of marble or granite and vary in size, with some measuring 450cm. Indigenous trees and bushes of the Byeonsan Bando Peninsula can be found throughout the park, giving visitors a chance to enjoy both the sculptures and the backcountry charm. The park also features the Keumkuwon Astronomical Observatory. Visitors can combine their trip to the park with a visit to nearby tourist sites like Gyeokpohang Harbor, Chaeseokgang Cliff, Suseongdang Shrine, and Jeokbyeokgang Cliff.

Naebyeonsan Mountain (내변산)

The Byeonsanbando Peninsula has a shoreline that stretches 99 kilometers, protruding into the west sea in Jeollabuk-do, with the Saemangeum, the world’s longest man-made sea barrier, to the north and Gomsoman Bay at its south shore. The peninsula is part of Byeonsanbando National Park, which is widely known for its natural beauty. Its interior mountain range is known as Naebyeonsan Mountain (Inner Byeonsan Mt.) while the outer region near the sea is known as Oebyeonsan Mountain (Outer Byeonsan Mt.). The center of Mt. Naebyeonsan includes the highest peak of Byeonsanbando peninsula, Uisangbong Peak (509 meters) and Nakjodae (Sunset Viewpoint), Wolmyeongam Hermitage, Bongnaegugok Valley as well as Jiksopokpo Waterfall. The surrounding mountains and valleys of Mt. Byeonsan are not particularly high, standing at an altitude of around 500-600 meters, but the magnificent formation of mountains and valleys as well as the breathtaking view of the sunset from Nakjodae make it a must-see sight. The center of Mt. Cheongsando Island (Wando) (청산도(완도))

Cheongsando Island has beautiful scenery made by mountains, ocean, and the sky, all matching in shades of blue and deep green. The island is located 19.2km from Wando Island, reachable in approx. 50 minutes by way of ferry. The island is often visited by travelers who enjoy trekking, as well as photographers seeking to capture the eye-catching vistas of this southern island. Anyone can now take a day-trip to the island, thanks to more ferry travels made between Wando and Cheongsando Passenger Terminals. Bidulginangpokpo Falls (비둘기낭폭포)

Bidulginangpokpo Falls, Natural Monument No. 537, is located within a small valley. The waterfall is surrounded by grand columnar joints. The landscape appears quite mysterious and serene, earning it a spot as a poplar filming site for historical dramas. The falls gets it's name ("Pigeon Falls" in Korean) from the story of many wild pigeons nesting in the caves around the waterfall. Other say the name comes from the area's shape. During heavy rainfall, the road to the waterfall is closed, so checking the weather before visiting is recommended.

History Museum of Tongyeong City (통영시 향토역사관)
Gyeongsangnam-do(Tongyeong-si)

Spread out over an area of 558.68㎡, this museum is a collection of exhibits highlighting the historic heritage of Tongyeong-si. It holds around 1,000 pieces of lifestyle articles and literature items, as well as photos of Tongyeong from the prehistoric era, Gaya Confederacy, Silla Kingdom, Goryeo Dynasty, Joseon Dynasty, and the modern times. In addition, there are materials related to 12 gongbang (workshop) and the Japanese Invasion of Korea. Visitors can also watch video clips showing the process of making craftworks including najeonchilgi (mother-of-pearl craft making) and somokjang (wood furniture making), as well as videos introducing intangible cultural assets such as the Ogwangdae (five mask performers' dance drama) and Seungjeonmu (victory dance).

Bangtaesan Mountain

Bangtaesan Mountain, located in Inje-gun, Ganwon-do, sits on the border between Inje-gun and Hongcheon-gun. Its long ridges and deep valleys make the mountain outstanding in its beauty. Being in a place where it’s not easy to get to, the mountain’s natural elements are in pristine condition. Water flows from Jugeokbong Peak (1,443m) and Guryongdoekbong Peak (1,338m) through Achimgarigol Valley and Jeoggarigol Valley. There is a wide variety of species that live in the mountain, such as lenoks, catfishes, boars, hares, roe deers and squirrels. Southwest of Jugeokbong Peak, the highest peak of the mountain, is the Gaein mineral water spring that is famous for its pungent taste and carbonated water. With cool weather in summer and colorful autumn foliage in fall, Bangtaesan Mountain is a perfect place to enjoy the natural beauty of South Korea. Bangtaesan Recreational Forest also offers sleeping accomodations for visitors.

Geumsusan Mountain
Chungcheongbuk-do(Danyang-gun)

Geumsusan Mountain (altitude: 1,1015m) is located in Jeokseong-myeon, Danyang-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do. The mountain is also known as Minyeobong (beauty peak) because the mountain range, when seen from afar, is said to resemble a beautiful woman lying on her side. The mountain was originally called Baegamsan, but the noted Joseon-period scholar Yi Hwang (pen name, Toegye) renamed the mountain Geumsusan (silk embroidery mountain) when he was the chief governor of Danyang County, saying its graceful features matched the fineness of silk embroidery. Geumsusan Mountain is considered as one of the “Eight Scenic Views of Danyang” with visitors flocking all year round to enjoy the scenic mountain landscapes carpeted with royal azalea blossoms in spring, greenery in summer, foliage in autumn, and snow in winter. In the vicinity is a seaside filming location of Korean historical dramas. The Geumsusan Mountain Gamgol Maple Festival is held in this area every October.
