Jeju-do(Jeju-si)

Yongcheondonggul Cave (용천동굴) is the most typical form of lava tunnel on Jeju Island and with a total length of approximately 2,470.8m it is one of the largest. It has a unique topology and rich limestone formations such as lava terrace, lava shelves, lava waterfalls, and 140m of lava rolls. In particular, a range of carbonate formations such as straw soda, stalactite, columns, flowstones, cave corals, aragonite crystals can be found inside this large cave that also contains a lake. This unique cave is astounding in terms of its geological value and beauty. There are also items that can be found throughout the cave that appear to have been brought in by people who lived on the island long ago, such as pieces of pottery, animal bones, ironware, charcoal and other substances.  


Gangwon-do(Chuncheon-si)

Located in 34, Gangchon-ro, Namsan-myeon, Chuncheon-si, Gangwon-do, Gangchon Station is one of train stations in Gyeongchun Line. It is situated between Gimyujeong and Baekyang-ri. The metropolitan subway line, Gyeongchun Line, started operating on December 21, 2010 and rapid train used to stop at the station even during weekdays since August 2011. However, the rapid train is no more operating due to the introduction of ITX-Cheongchun Train.


Chungcheongbuk-do(Cheongju-si)

This park was built on the site of the Chungju government office during the Joseon period. Some government buildings such as Cheongnyeongheon and Jegeumdang still remain, although they collapsed in a fire in 1870 (7th year of King Gojong’s reign) and were repaired in October of the same year by the governor of Chungju Jo Byeong-ro. With interior improvement, the refurbished structures were used as government offices for Jungwon-gun. However, with the relocation of the county office in 1983, the site was transformed into a park. The peaceful ambiance of the thick forest inhabited by a 500-year-old Zelkova tree and numerous pine trees, the historic Chungcheong Gamyeongmun Gate and Fortress Monument as well as Cheongnyeongheon and Jegeumdang, create a relaxing shelter. In this park, visitors can also see a kitchen from the ancient government office, the Sangosucheonggak building and a Martyrs’ Monument that pays tribute to the memory of Roman Catholics who died as martyrs during the Sinyubakhae and Byeonginbakhae persecutions.  


Chungcheongbuk-do(Danyang-gun)

Danyanggang River Jando-gil Plank Road is a 1.12 kilometers long trekking road along Namhangang RIver. With an amazing view of the surroundings, the road is a must-walk when visiting Danyang. There are various attractions nearby including Mancheon-ha Skywalk and Suyanggae Light Tunnel offering tour, geology and history.


Chungcheongnam-do()

Textbook Museum, the only one of its kind in the world, was established by the textbook publishing company Nirae-N with an aim to offer a historical overview of the Korean education system. It showcases Korean textbooks from the 19th century Enlightenment period to the contemporary time, and also carries a collection of foreign textbooks as well as North Korean textbooks. Located inside the publishing factory, the museum enables viewing of the textbook publishing process.


Gangwon-do(Samcheok-si)

Samsung Innovation Museum is an electronic industrial museum run by Samsung, a major global company based in Korea. The museum mainly consists of three sections. Visitors can learn about the history of Korea's electronic industry, as well as the past, present and future of the semiconductor, display and mobile industries, where Samsung made great achievements. The museum also runs an education facility called Children's Display Research Institute.


Jeollabuk-do(Sunchang-gun)

With an elevation of 583.7 m, Gangcheonsan County Park (강천산군립공원) in Sunchang, Jeollabuk-do, has towering peaks all around and waterfalls that cascade between the surrounding rocks. Its deep valleys covered with thick forests have kept their natural beauty for centuries. There are also many cultural properties including the historic Gangcheonsa Temple, Samindae, Gangcheonsan Five-story Stone Pagoda and Geumseongsanseong Fortress. In the valley at the entrance of Gangcheonsa there is a stream of clear water flowing below from Doseongyo to Byeongpungbawi (wall-like precipitous rocks) with more than ten waterfalls each with a small pond below. If you pass between Gangcheonsa, an old temple, and Samindae, and continue walking on the path next to Heunghwajeong, you will see a 75 meter long hanging bridge at 50 meters high above the ground. To see it you have to strain your neck backwards to look up at it. After going up a steep hill and crossing the hanging bridge, you will get to a vista point where you can enjoy a wide view of the lovely Mt. Gangcheonsan. At an elevation of 300 meters, the mountain has a reservoir and a natural mountain fortress wall climbing 400 meters high. The type of maple trees found here are native to Korea, and have a long foliage period in autumn.


Gangwon-do(Cheorwon-gun)

Seungilgyo Bridge is unique in that it was jointly built by South and North Korea. The construction began when the land belonged to North Korea, but after the Armstice Agreement the land was given to the South, who then complete the bridge. The bridge was designated as a Registerd Cultural Property No. 26 on May 31, 2002.
