Jeollanam-do(Sinan-gun)

Hongdo Island is located 115 km southwest of Mokpo Harbor. It is composed of about 20 islands, and because it has an usual reddish-brown color about it, it is called Hongdo (Red Island). When the sun sets over the island, the whole area takes on a reddish hue.The seashore is bordered by towering sea cliffs with diverse shapes of rocks. With the blue sea and green forest, it remains the most spectacular sight in the Southern Sea. Hongdo Island has 33 officially designated beautiful sceneries, but the most famous of them all is the Hongdosipkyeong. Along with Nammun Rock and Seokhwagul Cave, Hongdosipkyeong shows off the beauty of Hongdo Island, and if you take a ferry to the island, you can see almost all of Hongdosipkyeong. It takes about 2 hours to go around the island, and you can explore the mysterious nature and its beauty. On the island, there are about 270 kinds of evergreens and 170 types of animals. As the government wanted to preserve the natural state of the island, it was designated as a Natural Preserved Area in 1965, and since 1981, has became part of Dadohae Marine National Park. With forests of pine trees and chestnut trees, it is also the native home of the very rare daeyeoppung reed.Because the entire island of Hongdo has been declared a Natural Monument, people are not allowed to enter areas other than the villages and designated tourist areas. Because of this, you cannot bring out even one stone or a pocket of grass from the island. Visitors that break the rules will be fined. 


Jeollanam-do(Yeosu-si)

Nestled in the East coast of Dolsando Island (돌산도), the tranquil waters on this resort have mild waves that lap up on the shiny golden sand along the beach. Nearby there is a thick pine grove where some of the trees are 200 years old. This area is blessed with plenty of fresh inland water despite it being on the coast. The myriad of rocks near the sea are great for fishing. The beach is a popular spot to watch the sunrise. It is also situated on the way to Hyangiram Hermitage, one of Korea’s four hermitages where Buddhist followers come to pray.


Gyeonggi-do(Gwangju-si)

Gyeongju Country Club is located within Bomun Tourism Area with spectacular scenery of the Bomun Lake. It is within 15 minutes from Gyeongju and is aiming to become the best golf course in Korea. The characteristic of Gyeongju Country Club is "Light Golf" which has enabled players to play golf at night and at daybreak under perfect light settings. It is located in Gyeongju, which is a tourism city, attracting the attention of tourists who love golf.

Chungcheongbuk-do(Yeongdong-gun)

'Nangye Hall of Korean Classical Music' opened in 1987 in Yeongdong (Chungcheongbuk-do). The 2-story building has 496 seats and a performance hall, exhibition center, powder room, projection booth and sound box. The center holds over 50 cultural events annually including the ‘Yeongdong Nangye Gugak Festival’ and is visited by traditional music enthusiasts. The area is also home to Yeongdong’s dried persimmon production and promotes the local specialty through a number of diverse interactive programs at the center. These programs include playing Korean traditional musical instruments and a hands-on experience with dried persimmon fruit.


Incheon(Jung-gu)

Embracing the former downtown of Incheon, Wolmi Special Tourist Zone is deeply involved in Korea’s modern history and culture. Since modern Western culture and institutions were introduced through the port off the coast of Incheon, the zone has become rich in modern architecture and cultural heritage that tell the stories of the Open Port Period. Visitors can experience the foreign cultures of old when walking on the road along the foot of Wolmisan Mountain, which overlooks the port. The small amusement park in Wolmi Special Tourist Zone is popular with young people for leisure activities and dates. Along the coastline, always busy with travelers, are sashimi restaurants and fancy cafes. Visitors can see a panoramic view of the port and downtown from Wolmi Observation Platform. They can also experience the charm of the fish market and the unique atmosphere of Yeonan Pier where ferries go back and forth near the port. Sea fishing, eating fresh seafood or walking on Open Port Nuri-gil, which is adjacent to the sea, are worth the experience. Chinatown in Wolmi Special Tourist Zone shows the past and the present of Chinese immigrants. There you can find Chinese restaurants, the Incheon Open Port Museum and the Modern Architecture Museum. The Incheon Modern Open Port Street Festival and the Wolmi Special Tourist Zone Culture Festival are held every year. Gyeongsangbuk-do(Yeongju-si)

Four kilometers northeast of Huibang Station is Huibangsa Temple, which is located at the foot of Sobaeksan Mountain 850 m above sea level. The temple was built by the Great Monk Duwun in the 12th year (643) of Queen Seondeok’s reign during the Silla Kingdom. The temple used to preserve a wooden printing block for Weolinseokbo vol.1 & 2 (a biography of Buddha), but it was destroyed when the temple burned down during the Korean War. Recently, the wooden printing block has been recreated. Near the entrance of the temple is a natural forest that creates beautiful shadows when the sunlight hits the trees. Also near the temple, one can find Huibang Falls (28 m in x_height), which is the largest waterfall in the central inland region of Korea. * Huibang Falls Four kilometers northeast of Huibangsa Temple Station on the Jungang Subway Line is Huibang Falls, which is located at the foot of the Sobaeksan Mountain. The waterfall is on the way to Yeonhwabong Peak (1,383 m in x_height) of Sobaeksan Mountain, and it is the largest water fall in the central inland region of Korea. The valley where the water falls has trees and rocks, and right above the water fall is the recently rebuilt Huibangsa Temple. Other tourist attractions nearby include Buseoksa Temple, and Sosuseowon Confucian Academy located along the hiking course of Sobaeksan Mountain.
