Suyeonsanbang, a traditional Korean tea house located in Seongbuk-dong, was originally the house where the late Korean author Lee Tae-Jun wrote many of his books. Now, his estate has opened Suyeonsanbang’s doors to the public in the form of a charming and peaceful tea house. Famous for its savory tea, beautiful nature, and rich history, Suyeonsanbang has been covered by a variety of foreign media outlets like NHK (Japan), BBC (UK), French TV channels, and numerous Japanese magazines. To take a break during the summer heat, visitors come to Suyeonsanbang to try their patbingsu (shaved ice with red beans), one of its summer specialties. Zelen in Itaewon is the only Bulgarian restaurant in Korea. Bulgarian foods are rich in lactic acid and are generally characterized by a salty taste, even the bread, with flavorful meat dishes as a mainstay. Zelen offers a menu of authentic Bulgarian cuisine, including a variety of savory pork dishes seasoned with Bulgarian seasonings.  

With four floors, Namsan Donboseong is the largest Chinese restaurant in Myeong-dong. It’s a great place for group dining since it has separate rooms in addition to the main hall. It serves a wide variety of course meals as well as simple lunch specials. - It’s located near Namsan Hiking Trail, Namdaemun Market, and Myeong-dong.

New Wazwan serves Indian dishes at reasonable prices and has been certified as an Indian-style tourist restaurant by the Korea Tourism Association. The word “wazwan” refers to the gourmet cuisine enjoyed in Kashmir, the Northern Indian Himalayan region, during special occasions such as weddings.

Gamiok proudly presents the deep and rich taste of Seolleongtang soup. Ox bones are boiled in a large pot for more than 15 hours (to reach their optimum flavor) and are served with kkakdugi (fermented red peppered kimchi) and Chinese lettuce kimchi, prepared fresh by the restaurant’s own chefs. Gaetmaeul restaurant, located in Ichon-dong in the Yongsan area of Seoul, is widely known for its specialty dish, Son-manduguk (handmade dumpling soup). Not only does it serve exceptionally delicious food, but the service is friendly, and the facilities are clean. As well as the excellent mandu dishes, such as manduguk (dumpling soup) and tteok-manduguk (dumpling soup with rice cake slices), the menu also includes bindatteok (Korean mung-bean pancake) and suyuk (boiled slices of beaf). The kimchi used to fill the dumplings and offered as a side dish is also particularly good.

An authentic American burger joint along one of the main restaurant streets of Itaewon, ’Smokey Saloon’ (est. 2005) is decorated like an old pub from the American ‘Wild West.’ Visitors may be surprised, however, that the burger restaurant is not filled with the scent of cigarette smoke, but rather the heavenly aroma of quality beef. The restaurant is famous for serving up thick beef patties that are seasoned only with salt and pepper, preserving the juicy flavor of the meat. The representative burger, the ‘Smoky Burger’ (a thick patty with roasted bacon, sauce, and cheese) is a customer favorite.

Seven Springs delivers pleasure and well-being, as the food intends to serve an environmentally-friendly, healthy meal. The restaurant is styled with a pleasantly comfortable interior, while the open-kitchen allows guests to watch the chefs prepare the salads, for a more delightful dining experience.

Ganggang Sullai is a hanu (Korean beef) restaurant in a building with traditional Korean roof tiles and wooden interior, which boasts Korean beauty and ambiance. The Yeoksam branch features not only the traditional hanok (Korean house) building but also the traditional cooking method to convey the value and promote the excellence of Hansik (Korean dishes).
