Dongnae Halmae Pajeon

Dongnae Halmae Pajeon (동래할매파전) has preserved the distinctive taste of its Dongnae Pajeon (Korean pancake) for four generations and has even been designated Busan Folk Restaurant No. 1. Dongnae Pajeon, rumored to have been presented to the king long ago, is made from a combination of glutinous and non-glutinous rice flour and contains various kinds of seafood, beef, and fresh green onions making for a tender and slightly sweet taste. In addition to Dongnae Pajeon, main menu items include Mushroom Pajeon and Nurungji Tangsu (browned rice stew with seafood). The restaurant also offers set menus (Ttugisang and Ttumisang) for customers to get a taste of a wider selection of dishes.  

Keunjip

Located in Gukje Market near Gwangbokno Road at the heart of Busan, Keunjip restaurant is quite accessible; but it is a little difficult for first-time visitors to locate the exact entrance. Still, the serving staff welcomes everyone at the door and offers a variety of seafood ‘jjim’ (steamed dishes) and ‘hanjeongsik’ (Korean table d’hote). Don’t forget to try Keun Jip’s ‘bulgogi jjim’ (marinated and steamed beef) served with tasty ‘gejang’ (uncooked crab preserved in soy sauce), everyone’s favorite ‘kimchi’, nutritious ‘toran’ (taro dishes), and 10 other side dishes. Another delicacy is ‘haemul jjim’ (steamed seafood) which is seasoned with hot spices and served with ‘kongnamul’ (bean sprouts).

Okmi Agujjim

Okmi Agujjim has been serving anglerfish dishes in the same place. Steamed anglerfish is one of the most popular local dishes among the local residents of port cities, but recently many visitors from abroad have also been enjoying the dish for it’s spicy and savory taste.

OPS - Haeundae Branch opened in 1996 as the second OPS branch after the main one in Namcheong-dong. The store serves 100% handmade fresh bakery products and beverages such as fresh juice, coffee, or chocolat chaud (hot chocolate), which go perfectly with its delicious cakes. Morning Calm

Located on the right side of the road, after passing Songjeong Tunnel, Morning Calm is another place with a great view. In a three-story log cabin, the first floor provides a space where you can imagine being on a European train. Right in front of the restaurant are the railroad tracks and beyond the tracks is Songjeong Beach. Serving mainly Western dishes, Morning Calm is an elegant place to appreciate fine dining and atmosphere. The restaurant provides excellent customer service and care.

Yeyije (예이제) is a Korean restaurant located across from Paradise Hotel in Haeundae, Busan. ‘Yeije’ is a combination of the Korean words ‘Yey,’ meaning ‘ancient times’ and ‘Ije,’ meaning ‘now.’ True to its name, the restaurant is decorated with a harmonic blend of traditional and modern elements.The major course menu, Gungjung Hanjeongsik (court-style traditional Korean food set) consists of Kkotsal Galbi (grilled bottom sirloin), grilled natural pine mushrooms, Tteokgalbi (grilled short rib meat patties), Daeha jjim (steamed king prawn), and Sinseollo (court-style casserole). Hannyang Jokbal, located on Nampodong Food Street, is a Jokbal (steamed pigs’ feet) ‘Matjip’ (a term that refers to the most delicious restaurants in a certain area). Hanyang Jokbal is one of the most famous restaurants on the street, which is well known for jokbal. The most famous dish at the restaurant is ‘Nangchae Jokbal’. This cold pigs’ feet dish is a specialty of Nampodong Food Street, but is hard to find in other parts of Korea. The combination of steamed pig feet, fresh cucumber, and jellyfish mixed with mustard sauce is a must-try food for visitors to Busan.

Located in Haeundae, Busan, Koryujung (고려정) is a Korean restaurant with 15 years of tradition. The restaurant serves traditional hanjeongsik (Korean course meal) and shabu-shabu (paper-thin slices of meat and vegetables cooked in a pot of hot broth) in an antique, elegant ambience. Four types of course meals (Emperor’s table, Jin, Sun, Mi) are offered, each consisting of 7-8 appetizers followed by 7-8 warm dishes such as galbi (grilled beef ribs), fish, and a mushroom platter. Separate dining rooms of various sizes are available for private gatherings.
