Gwangju(Seo-gu)

Seoul(Jung-gu) , Euljiro・Chungmuro・Namsan

Blanc & Eclare is a fashion/cosmetic brand, which is known for a previous member of the famed girl-group SNSD: Jessica. Jessica participated in strategizing the design of the products such as sunglasses, and also all the way to designing jeans and cosmetics. You can see Jessica’s taste in design by looking at the silhouette and detail of the products and in what is characteristic of the store/brand’s product. In Korea, you can find branches of the store in Sinsadong Boulevard and Doota Duty Free Shop in Dongdaemoon. You can only, however, find skin care items such as cleansing foam, moisturizing cream, and facial masks in Doota Duty Free Store.  


Seoul(Yongsan-gu) , Itaewon・Yongsan

Leeum, Samsung Museum of Art, exhibits traditional and modern works of art by Korean and international artists. The museum itself is just as fascinating as the works of art on display, since its three buildings were designed by the internationally renowned architects, Mario Botta, Jean Nouvel, and Rem Koolhaas. MUSEUM 1 houses traditional Korean works of art, such as calligraphy, paintings, ceramic arts, and metal craftwork, while MUSEUM 2 displays modern and contemporary art by both Korean and foreign artists. On Saturday and Sunday guided tours in English are conducted at 3pm. If you plan to visit during the weekdays and wish to receive an English guided tour, you will need to call at least 2-3 days in advance to make a reservation. Audio guides in English, Japanese, and Chinese are available, which provide detailed information on the works of art. These can be rented at the museum for a small fee. This is one of the places that the "first ladies of the Seoul G20" visited during the G20 Summit in Seoul in November 2010. This attraction represents the beauty of Korea.


Gwangju(Nam-gu)

Designated the ‘No. 1 Gwangju Metropolitan City Folk Material’ on March 20, 1989, the House of Lee Jang-woo is an upper-class, tile-roofed house with a gate, storeroom, servants’ quarters, detached building, and main building. Estimated to have been constructed in 1899, the house was originally owned by Jeong Byeong-ho, but has been primarily known as the House of Lee Jang-woo, the house’s current owner, since 1965.The L-shaped main hall of the historic building is rather large and consists of (left to right) a wooden verandah, a small room, a hall, the main room, a kitchen, and another small room. Doors that lead to ondol rooms (those heated by traditional Korean floor heating) are double doors with a sliding door on the inside and a hinged door on the outside. The hall has partitions that can be hung up as necessary. Overall, the house is a sturdy example of Korean architecture and remains well-preserved in its original state.


Gyeonggi-do(Gwacheon-si) , Seoul Grand Park

Seoul Zoo is an open space of natural education, created to foster children’s interest in and love for animals and nature. The zoo runs educational programs where children can learn about various animals. Through the programs, children are able to interact with and feed dogs, monkeys, rabbits, deer, goats, and more.

The owner of this fresh burger joint located in the Hongdae area is none other than Loco, one of the hottest rappers of the AOMG crew. The restaurant was indeed “famous” even before its opening, thanks to Loco’s Hallyu star status. Its signature dish is The Famous Burger featuring thick patties and a generous amount of melted cheese. Avocado slices and bacon can be added for an additional charge. Every Friday and Saturday, a DJ booth is set up at the counter for hip-hop and electronic music parties open to all.
