Sushigen is a restaurant where you can experience a truly traditional Japanese setting. At this establishment, there are two 'Idamaes' that prepare sushi in front of guests as soon as it is ordered. The skill of these sushi chefs carry a well-known reputation of excellence, guaranteeing perfection. In addition, though all the fresh fish is top-grade, it is served at affordable prices; the Chirashi is especially to die for. The Jjangkkonembi, steamed eggs, and fried tofu make a perfect companion to alcohol. Sushigen is a restaurant in pursuit of a fusion feel, with the melodies of jazz tickling the ears as soon as you walk in. The unique atmosphere and interior design make this a special place for dining. Additionally, all servers speak fluent Japanese, while the chefs present their diverse skills in a saxophone performance, making the dining experience at Sushigen even more memorable.


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Andong-si)

Andong Hahoe Doenjang Village is located by the crossroad of Hahoe Village and Byeongsanseowon Confucian Academy in Pungcheon-myeon, Andong-si. The village is built purely of red clay and the villagers are devoted to preserving the 600 year-long tradition of doenjang (fermented soybean paste) making. Over 3,000 large jars used for storing doenjang will greet visitors at the village entrance. Highlights of the village include a red clay storage room capable of storing around 100 tons of soybeans, a giant iron pot for boiling up to 100 kilograms of beans at once, and a large glass drying room used for hanging meju (fermented soybean blocks) to dry. Using these features, doenjang is made by boiling domestically produced soybeans and shaping them into blocks of meju, which are then left to ferment and dry for 2 to 3 months. The village facilities are comprised of an exhibition center at the entrance, a production center, and two drying rooms. The exhibition center invites visitors to sample various fermented soybean condiments and displays all the products made in this village. The drying rooms are specially designed to allow maximum sunlight and ventilation. Finally, the production center preserves the traditional methods of making doenjang such as boiling soybeans in a giant iron pot and fermenting meju in a ondolbang (a room with the Korean floor heating system).


Seoul(Dobong-gu)

Daemun table d’hote consists of delicious Mung Bean jelly cake mixed with beef and vegetables, sweet vegetable salads with fruit sauce, five colors of pan-fried flour dough with duck, and cold jellyfish salad with mustard dressing. Tasty side dishes such as bulgogi and outer leaf of cabbage mixed with soybean paste and rice in a hot stone pot, and soybean paste stew, come right after the main course. *Best Korean Restaurant as designated by The Seoul Metropolitan Government    


Gangwon-do(Donghae-si)

Nongoldam-gil Street refers to the road going uphill from Mukho Port to Mukho lighthouse. 30 years ago, Nongol was the representative port of pollack and squid, but about 20,000 residents left town as fishing resources dwindled. For now, nearly 4,000 people are living in the town whose atmosphere became empty and silent.To improve the ambience of the town, Donghae Cultural Center applied for a project named ‘Mukho Deungdae Damhwa’ to the Ministry of Cultures, Sports and Tourism. In August 2010, the center started visiting older people living in Nongol Village to find out their life story and then painted their stories on the walls throughout the village’s alley. Members who majored in art made the sketches and the elderly in their 60-70s colored the sketches to create the mural street of Nongol Village. The starting point of the street has various frames hanging on the wall which depict the history and process of the village.


Jeju-do(Seogwipo-si) , Seogwipo

This resort boasts fine views of magnificent Hallasan Mountain with its clean and ice-cold water. These waters, deep valleys, waterfalls and the thick evergreen forest create beautiful scenery. If you walk 20min from the "Donnaeko Recreational Area," at the entrance you can see the Wonang Pokpo Waterfall (5m high) and a small pond. The walkway that follows the valley is just the place for a relaxing forest experience.Both sides of the "Donnaeko Recreational Area" are covered with dense green forest, and the forest is crowded with cymbidium orchids (Orchids that grow in the evergreen forest on the south part of Jejudo Island, 70~900m above sea level, unique orchids to the island that blossom from December to January). Winter strawberries also grow here.The peak season of this beautiful valley is Baekjung Day (Lunar Calendar: June 15th). On Baekjung Day in Jeju-do, there is a tradition of eating chicken and being splashed with water. This is because there is a saying that you can recover from neuralgia after showering under the cascading water. So many people gather and celebrate on Baekjung Day. The name 'Donnaekko' came about because there are many boars here. But since the 1920's, no boars have been seen.


Busan(Jung-gu)

Located in Bupyeong-dong, Jung-gu, Gupojip is a representative Gyeongsang-do style chueo-tang (loach soup) restaurant that has been around for a long period of time. Bracken is added to the thick broth, making the chueo-tang tastier. Their soy bean paste is also very good and added to the chueo-tang. The cabbages and bean sprouts add hearty flavor to it, too. Various vegetables remove the wild taste and make the broth gentle.


Jeollabuk-do(Jeonju-si)

The Lotte Department Store Jeonju Branch is located in Jeollabuk-do Jeonju-si, and offers over 500 Korean brand names and imported luxury brands for a premium shopping experience. The Jeonju branch has over 130 specialists who instruct classes at the store's cultural center, an 8-theater state-of-the-art multiplex cinema, a sky park/rest area, convenient parking facilities, a children’s rest area, a children's specialty hair shop, a skincare room, and other facilities and services. Store hours are from 10:30am to 8:00pm with extended hours on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. It is closed for one Monday a month.


Gyeongsangnam-do(Tongyeong-si)

Constructed over a 16-month period from 1931 to 1932, the undersea tunnel in Tongyeong is Asia’s first submarine tunnel. For its construction, the sea water was blocked at both ends, the tunnel was dug underground, and was paved with concrete. The Korean word “Yongmundalyang” engraved at the entrance of 483 meter long, 5 meter wide tunnel means “the entrance of an undersea tunnel that connects island to land.”
