Jeollanam-do(Goheung-gun)

Jeollanam-do(Damyang-gun)

Located on the opposite side of Korea Bamboo Museum, House by the Museum is a uniquely named restaurant. The main menu includes tteok-galbi (grilled short rib meat patties) which is comprised of minced lean meat, green onion, onion, bulgogi sauce and sesame oil, which makes the taste tender. As for the nutrition, it has a lot of essential fatty acid from sesame oil that complements with the beef. Another signature dish of the restaurant is Daetongbap - rice cooked in a bamboo, made with rice, millet, bean, sorghum, jujube, nuts and others. It features a healthy food with its delicate fragrance. In addition, more than 10 side dishes along with Daetongbap such as Tohajeot (salt-fermented toha shrimp), juksun-deulkkae-muchim (seasoned vegetables with perilla seeds and bamboo shoot), gejang-muchim (marinated crab), beoseot-bokkeum (fried mushroom), mul-kimchi, dwaejigogi-gochujang-bokkeum (stir-fried spicy pork), sangchu-ssam (wrapped in lettuce), and others. After a meal, bamboo blade tea of a clean taste is offered as a dessert.

Ttangkkeut Sunset Sunrise Festival will take place at Ttangkkuet Village in Songji-myeon, Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do. The festival includes a sunset and sunrise ceremony, and ttangkkeut music concert. The festival is famous for the unique view of the sunrise through a crack between the rocks of Hyeongjebawi next to Galduhang Port.


Jeollanam-do(Suncheon-si)

The annual Suncheon Lantern Festival takes place around Suncheon Jorye Lake Park. Hosted by Buddhist associations in Suncheon City, the festival features a variety of Buddhist cultural programs such as a children’s writing contest, drawing competition, B-POP festival, folk games, pagoda circling, lantern and light balloon floating in prayers for peace, and fireworks show. The festival also screens a number of Buddhist films in celebration of Buddha’s birthday.


Jeollanam-do(Sinan-gun)

The Sinan Sasanqua Festival takes place at 1004 Island Park (Cheonsaseom Bunjae Park) in Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do. The festival is the nation's one and only festival about potted plants. Camellias (dongbaek in Korean) bloom during the cold winter months. The flowers fall off completely intact, keeping their brilliant color and appearance. This festival is expected to have around 30,000 sasanqua flowers blooming from around 3,000 trees at 1004 Island Park and Songgongsan Mountain. There will also be 2,000 kinds of potted camellias on display, a program demonstrating how to care for potted plants, and a poetry and painting exhibit.


Jeollanam-do(Hampyeong-gun)

Run by the Hampyeong National Livestock Cooperative Federation, Hampyeong Cheonji Hanu Plaza offers visitors a taste of Hanu (Korean beef) that is produced in Cheonji, Hampyeong. It is located in front of the Hampyeong Expo Park, the venue of the Hampyeong Butterfly Festival and the Hampyeong Grand Chrysanthemum Festival. It consists of large seminar rooms to accommodate workshops, family parties, etc.
