Jeollabuk-do(Gunsan-si)

First opened on September 30, 2011, the Gunsan Modern History Museum covers the history of Gunsan's transformative role as an international trading port. The museum exhibits past images of Gunsan showing its rise and importance as a West Sea maritime distribution port.  


Jeju-do(Seogwipo-si) , Seogwipo

Suhui Sikdang (수희식당), in addition to delicious local cuisine, offers a wide-open view of the lower reaches of Cheonjiyeon Waterfall and the many splendors of the neighboring Seogwipo Chilsip-ri area. Must-try dishes include seafood stew made using obunjagi (blue ear shell) fresh from the sea and salted and grilled hairtail fish. The stew, though similar in looks to the bean paste stew found on the mainland, has a unique and savory taste that you won’t find anywhere else.


Seoul(Jongno-gu) , Samcheongdong・The Northern Part of the Seoul

Bukchon, literally translated to northern village, refers to the neighborhood located north of Cheonggyecheon Stream and Jongno. The southern land of Jongno, which is present day Namsan, was referred as Namchon, meaning southern village. Bukchon Village was resided mostly by relatives of royal families and powerful authorities while Namchon Village was settled by middle class government officials during the Joseon period. Now referred to as the Bukchon Hanok Village, the neighborhood has become one of Korea's most representative tourist attractions that provide various photo ops. Visitors can take in the outlook of Seoul together with traditional hanok buildings by following the course for the Eight Scenic Views of Bukchon. Gyeongsangnam-do(Tongyeong-si)

With almost 400 years of history, Tongyeong Jungang Market is a popular tourist spot in the city of Tongyeong, attracting tourists during weekends and even on weekdays. The market is located next to Dongpirang Village. In front of the market is Gangguan Port where a turtle ship (geobukseon) and fishing boats are docked. The spacious cultural venue called Munhwa Madang is quite reminiscent of Byeongseon Madang, a place for anchoring or mooring warships in the past. As the market is located close to the coastline, fresh fish and dried fish make up a huge part of the market's offerings. Here, visitors can also find mother-of-pearl inlaid wares, quilted products, and rice cakes.      


Jeju-do(Jeju-si) , SinJeju

Jeju Sculpture Park, opened in October 1987, is located in a primeval forest. It is a multi-purpose art center exhibiting 160 sculptures. In the park, you can feel the traditional beauty of Jeju Island even from the entrance where a tangerine tree was planted in 1970. At the main entrance, there is a Pyramid shape tower, which is a symbol of this park. The tower features reflecting images that vary by season, weather, or position of people who are looking at it.In the park, 160 sculptures are exhibited under the themes of “Meeting of Nature and Art", and "Meeting with Human Beings”. In the park, there is a sky lounge from where you can see Mt. Sanbangsan, Mt. Hallasan, and even the Marado Island at the southern end of Korea. Various performances are held here, and it has convenient facilities that you can enjoy after appreciating the sculptures.


Seoul(Gangbuk-gu) , Daehangno・Seongbukdong

Dream Forest, previously known as ‘Odong Geullin Park’, is located at Bun-dong, Gangbuk-gu Seoul.Renovated and reopened on October 2009, Dream Forest is the fourth largest park after World Cup Park(2.76million ㎡), Olympic Park(1.45million ㎡), and Seoul Forest(1.20million ㎡) and the first large-scale green park created in Gangbuk area.Major attractions of the park include Wolyeongji Pond, Grass Square, Wolgwang Waterfall, Aewoljeong Pavilion, and Chilbokji (confluence of 7 different artificial waterfalls), Event Garden, Children’s Gallery, Wild Grass Garden, Deer Ranch, Exploring Path, Forest Rest, and a water park. Dream Forest Observatory where a drama ‘IRIS’ was filmed, provides a fantastic view of Bukhansan Mt., Dobongsan Mt. and Suraksan Mt. to the north while N-tower and Hangang River to the south. Just outside the park that is surrounded by apartment buildings and roads are a cultural exhibition lounge, forest workout space, badminton court and walking path for the residents. 


Gyeonggi-do(Icheon-si) , Icheon

Daejeon(Jung-gu)

Daejeon Modern History Hall opened to the public on October 1, 2013 at the former main building of Chungcheongnam-do Provincial Government, Daejeon (Registered Cultural Heritage No. 18). Visitors can see various scenes of history and the development of Daejeon over the past 100 years from the early 20th century to current times. Daejeon operates a planned exhibition hall, special exhibition showcasing history, architecture, design, folk style and other varied fields as well as a rotation exhibition.
