Seoul National Cemetery hosts an event with weeping cherry blossoms that symbolize the protection of the nation. The color of its cherry blossoms of the cemetery are paticularly pink. Also, the view of the the weeping cherry blossoms with their branches hanging down makes people think about paying respect to the souls of all the patriots and to solemn one's mind. The festival is held in every April with varied sightseeing activities to enjoy weeping cherry blossoms fully.

Daeseong-dong Tombs Museum
Gyeongsangnam-do(Gimhae-si)

The Daeseong-dong Tombs Museum displays artifacts unearthed from the four excavations of the Daeseongdong Tumuli. Highlighting often overlooked relics of the Geumgwan Gaya, the museum has three ground floor exhibit halls and several underground auxiliary facilities. Main exhibits include a life-sized statue of a mounted solider and a statue of a warrior, both of which were recreated based on bones excavated from the tumuli of Yean-ri. The museum relies heavily on the use of videos and dioramas to help visitors explore all that the museum has to offer.

Sandglass Park

Sandglass Park is surrounded by the East Sea, mountains and Jeongdongjin 2-ri Village. Sandglass Park has pine trees, benches facing the sea, and access to Jeongdongjin Beach. A sandglass doesn’t show the present time like a sundial and a water glass and it measures the time elapsed by sand volume descending through gravity. So, the sandglass was used for determining the velocity. Jeongdongjin Sandglass Park was established in 1999 by Gangneung-si and Samsung Electronics Co. to commemorate the upcoming century. Part of this commemoration was the building of the giant sandglass at the park. The Sandglass has a diameter of 8.06m, its x_width is 3.2m, a weight of 40 tons and holds 8 tons of sand, making it one of the biggest sandglasses in the world. It takes a whole year for sand to trickle to the bottom and then the sandglass restarts again on New Year’s Day each year at midnight.

NANTA Jeju

NANTA has been running since October 1997 and is the most popular show ever in Korea. It also has achieved outstanding international success, having been performed on Broadway and around the US and the rest of the world. It receives rave reviews wherever it performs, and quickly sells out.Without any dialogue, but through the rhythmic banging of knives, pots and pans, NANTA (or Cookin’ according to the American name) tells the story of four crazy chefs who have been set on an impossible  mission of making a wedding banquet in just one hour. What follows is pure musical mayhem, and they even manage to fit in a love story! The show is based on Korea’s traditional garak (rhythms) of samulnori (traditional Korean percussion quartet), and can be enjoyed by the whole family.NANTA is currently being performed at the Gangnam NANTA Theater, with performances from Tuesday to Sunday every week.*NoteDue to the MERS outbreak, some performances will be discontinued until July 2015. Hwasun Golden Sand Beach
