Pork belly, a cut that is greatly beloved by people in Korea, is a main staple of Korean barbeque. In Korean dramas, it’s very common to see people enjoying samgyeopsal with soju and has become an almost iconic part of Korean food culture. Wrapping the meat with rice, garlic, and ssamjang (bean paste) in lettuce is a popular way to eat samgyeopsal. The restaurant shown in the video is Ssangdaepo Restaurant located at 291, Cheongpa-ro, Yongsan-gu, Seoul.


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Pohang-si)

Pohang Jukdo Market first started as a small gathering of local vendors who sold their wares at the large fields of reeds in Pohang Inner Harbor. Now, over five decades later, the market has become one of the largest traditional markets in the Gyeongsangbuk-do area (on the east coast). Along with the Pohang Jukdo Market, visitors will also find the Jukdo Fish Market, only 500m away from Ogeori (the heart of Pohang). The largest open-run market in the east, the seafood wholesale market is made up of 200 raw fish stores, offering the area’s best catches. Nearby restaurants sell quality sashimi dishes at incredibly low prices and in the wintertime visitors can get a taste of Gwamegi, a local specialty of the Pohang area.


Busan(Gijang-gun)

The Maritime and Fisheries Science Museum, Korea's first science institute of its kind, was established in 1997 in order to promote maritime science and technology to the Korean public. The museum was opened after six years of effort by the National Fisheries Science Institute in preparing research and materials regarding marine resources, the fishing industry, fishery and fish farm technology and equipment, taxidermied fish specimens, sea life species, and others. There are a total of 15 separate areas, and even an actual right whale skeleton on display, as well as a room where visitors can learn how to operate a marine vessel.


Seoul(Gangnam-gu) , Gangnam・Samseongdong(COEX)

Situated in Nonhyeon-dong, Seoul, Wonjo Ssambabjib opened in 1993. The restaurant uses around 30 different types of fresh vegetables along with ssamjang made from soybean paste. The dishes at the restaurant, the most popular being planed pork belly, are so unique that the restaurant has even had some of the recipes patented!


Seoul(Jung-gu) , Euljiro・Chungmuro・Namsan

This Jokbal Street restaurant has a history of over 50 years, and the elderly white-haired proprietor has been running the business the entire time. Basketball players who play a game at the Jangchung Gymnasium visit the restaurant. When it first opened, the price of jokbal (steamed pork hock) was 150 won and the bindaetteok (mung-bean pancake), 10 won. Back then, the food was a luxury that students couldn’t even dream of buying, but now everyone can afford it. The taste of jokbal here is special: firstly because the trotters are transported to the restaurant immediately, and also because of the restaurant’s unique broth. The meat is extremely chewy and the delicately flavored fat melts in your mouth like ice cream. For a treat that cannot be enjoyed anywhere else, the owner hints that the large serving is much more delicious than the small one.


Incheon(Jung-gu)

Located in Junggu, Incheon, Rome Motel is very close to the Incheon Freedom Park. Watching pretty flowers and walking inside the Freedom Park will give your heart a resting. As located in Incheon Open Port Nuri-gil, tourists can tour Incheon Open Port Museum, Incheon Open Port Mordern Architecture Museum and Incheon Art Platform as well as Jemulpo Club that is often seen in the TV. It is in good location to look around Wolmido, and it is recommended to look around Sinpo Market and have delicious foods in the Culture Street inside Sinpo Market.

Digital Pavillion, located inside Digital Media City in Sangam-dong, offers visitors a look into IT-related products in its ubiquitous lifestyle experience center. Covering a total area of 9,721 ㎡, the four-story building holds about 40 items on display.
