Gyeonggi-do(Anyang-si)

Jeollanam-do(Yeongam-gun)

The historic Dogapsa Buddhist Temple is located within the Wolchulsan National Park and in 1984, was designated Provincial Cultural Property No. 79. At an elevation of 376m, the site offers spectacular views of the surrounding area, so impressive it carries the nickname ‘Sogeumgang River’, meaning “Small Geumgang River” of Jeollanamdo-Province. Founded by Buddhist Monk Doseon during the later years of the Silla Kingdom, the temple houses many historic and cultural treasures, most notable of which is Haetalmun Gate (gate of emancipation); designated as National Treasure No. 50 and one of few remaining original Korean structures. In addition, there are the Maaeyeoraejwasang (National Treasure No.144) and Seokjoyeoraejwasang (National Treasure No.89) sitting Buddha statues, the Mokjomunsu•Bohyeondongjasang (Treasure No. 1134), the Doseonsumibi (Jeollanam-do Tangible Cultural Property No.38) and the Daeungbojeon, or ‘main temple hall.’ An added bonus is the walkway lined with cherry trees leading to Dogapsa Temple. During the spring season, the 1km path offers a fabulous touch to the pristine surroundings. Nearby attractions are Wolchulsan National Park, Historical Site of Dr. Wangin, Yeongam Pottery Museum and Gurim Village.  


Gyeongsangnam-do(Changnyeong-gun)

The Nakdonggang Yuchae Festival is an annual event held during mid to late April in a canola flower field in the Namji-eup area of Changnyeong. The festival offers live performances; an experience hall of insects and birds; agricultural and specialty product exhibition, sales, and experience, and promotion booth; Namji Cheolgyo Gallery; yuchae photo rally, and other events for visitors to enjoy the beautiful scenery of yellow canola flower in full bloom with the blue thread of the Nakdonggang River.


Jeollanam-do(Jindo-gun)

Modo Island was once called Ttiseom because of the Ttipul grasses on the island. Ttipul is type of grass native to Korea. It was also called Ttiseom because there were many houses with thatched roofs made with dried Ttipul on the island. The name Modo means Ttiseom in Chinese characters. Every year when the sea parts to reveal a path betwen Modo Island and Jindo Island, the Yeongdeungje ritual is held to wish for a good catch and blessings. It is also a local tradition for people from Jindo and Modo to meet on the sea path to catch clams, seaweed, and octopus. At the starting point of the path, there is statue of Grandma Ppong whom the legend of the Jindo sea-parting phenomenon was based on. * Size: 0.21 ㎢ * Length of the coastline: 2.5 km


Jeollanam-do(Gangjin-gun)

Between the 10th and 14th centuries, the Gangjin area was a flourishing celadon production site. Today, 16 kilns remain active, and produce some of the most precious celadons. The Gangjin Celadon Festival is a perfect opportunity to see the timeless beauty of celadon production, and to experience it oneself. Meanwhile, in 2010, the festival was chosen as one of the best festivals in Korea by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.


Seoul(Seocho-gu) , Gangnam・Samseongdong(COEX)

Chungcheongbuk-do(Boeun-gun)

Samnyeonsanseong Fortress in surrounded by the gorgeous mountains of Boeun County. The area is considered one of the most magnificent spots in Chungbuk Province, which was also the site of many battles during the Three Kingdom Period.Samnyeonsanseong Fortress was so named because it was completed three years after construction began in 470 A.D. (during the reign of King Jabi Maripgan). The fortress was at the forefront of Silla’s expansion into northwest territories. It was also the site where King Muyeol (654-661 A.D.) welcomed the Dang Dynasty ambassador during the War of the Three Kingdoms.The sprawling stone-built walls stretch over a mile in length with x_heights and x_widths of 13 and 8-10 meters respectively. The compound still has traces of the north, east and west gate locations which give explanation to ancient theories of fortress construction in Korea. 


Gyeongsangnam-do(Gimhae-si)

The Gimhae Gaya Country Club is a mammoth golf club featuring 6 courses with a combined total of 54 holes (45 holes for club members-only, 9 holes for use by the general public). Of the 6 courses (Sineo, Nakdong, Gimhae, Suro, Garak, and the public course), Sineo is the course that is said to have a ‘feminine touch’ since it features ancient groves of trees and natural landscaping. Nakdong, on the other hand, is said to be the most ‘masculine’ course due to its sheer size and cliffside location. The Gimhae Gaya Country Club is operated in conjunction with Gaya Land, an entertainment facility, youth training center, swimming pool, tennis court, outdoor learning center, and campsite area.  


Jeollanam-do(Suncheon-si)

Ireokjohoegwan Hanjeongsik is a restaurant in Suncheon that has been serving Nam-do style food for 30 years. Nearby attractions include Suncheon Hyanggyo Confucian School (순천향교) and Okcheon Seowon Confucian Academy (옥천서원).
