Cabbage, green onions, sweet potatoes, and rice cakes are then added and placed in a large cast iron pan. Dakgalbi can be enjoyed on its own or wrapped in lettuce leaves for a fresh, crunchy taste. Imperial Palace Hotel

The hotel is part of a chain, along with Imperial Palace Boutique Hotel in Itaewon and Imperial Palace Hotel – Fukuoka in Japan. Dongdaemun History & Culture Park

At Dongdaemun History & Culture Park, traditional buildings, relics, ruins, and cutting edge modern cultural facilities come together harmoniously. Seoul Fortress, Igansumun Water Gate, Dongdaemun History Exhibition Hall, Dongdaemun Excavation Site Exhibition Hall, Dongdaemun Stadium Memorial Hall, an event hall, and Design gallery can all be found at the park. Also, the remains of the old Dongdaemun Baseball Stadium can still be seen, including two stadium light towers used for night games and a giant torch. During the construction work of the park, remains and relics were unearthed, including Igansumun Water Gate and Chiseong (the first defense facility found) of Seoul Fortress, 44 buildings sites from as early as the Joseon Dynasty including Hadogamteo Site (military training ground), and 1,000 relics including Joseon Baekja (white porcelain of the Joseon Dynasty) and Buncheong Sagi (grayish blue powdered ceramics) from the early Joseon Dynasty through the Japanese colonial rule period. The excavated relics and remains will be restored and exhibited around the park.

Union Star Bowling Alley

A quick walk from exit 4 of Seongsu Station, visitors in Seongsu-dong will be able to find Union Star Bowling Club. Located on the basement of a red-brick building, the venue is often visited by a number of Hallyu stars including Kim Soo-hyun (who was recently on Infinity Challenge to test his bowling skills), G-Dragon and the members of former girl-group 2NE1. Bowling pins signed by the Hallyu stars are proudly displayed throughout the venue. A unique aspect of Union Star Bowling Club is that it is divided into two floors. The first basement floor is Rock Bowling Alley featuring ten lanes. Dimly lit with pink and blue florescent lights, it functions as a bowling-pub serving a wide selection of domestic and imported beer. Club music gets the energy going while darts and video games are available for those waiting for their turn. The second basement floor is General Bowling Alley offering twelve lanes. Opening from 11am, the whole floor is brightly lit and modestly decorated. Visitors to the Union Star Bowling Club should ask about the Red Pin Game event: anyone who scores a strike when a red pin appears as the head pin will receive a free bottle of beer.

Songjeong Tteokgalbi - 1st branch
Gwangju(Gwangsan-gu)

Songjeong is famous for its tteokgalbi (grilled short rib meat patties), which is one of the five best food items of Gwangju. There are many tteokgalbi restaurants around Gwangsan district office, but Songjeong’s history goes back to 1976 and it is still the original.A good tteokgalbi is made by mixing the meat of beef short ribs and pork bone ribs in a one-to-one ratio and adding acacia honey to make the meat both tender and chewy. The dish is also reasonably priced. The secret to the delicious meat is the sauce, which is made with about 20 natural ingredients like kelp, radish, and green onion and no artificial seasonings. Also a pride of the restaurant is the broth made from pork bones which comes with the tteokgalbi.

Itaewon Special Tourist Zone

Also famous is Antique Furniture Street where more than 100 shops stretch from Hamilton Hotel to Hangangjin Station. At night, Itaewon is brilliantly illuminated by nightlife for those from abroad and home-alike. Travelers can taste cuisines and cultures from around the globe on the World Food Street where there are 40 restaurants owned by foreigners. Since the late 1990s, an increase in the number of tourists from Southeast Asia and the Middle East has transformed the streets from being US Army-oriented into streets of cultural diversity. In October, the “Itaewon Global Village Festival” takes place with a range of performances and events.
