Dongdaemun Stationary Store Street is located in Changsin-dong near Dongdaemun Station, and is a wholesale market selling toys and stationery. Almost 100 stationery stores are packed in the area, selling robots, dolls, play houses, various school supplies, party and event items, stationery, and toys. Visitors can purchase any items at prices 30-40% off of regular market prices and sometimes one can get bigger discounts.


Seoul(Jongno-gu) , Insadong・Jongnon

Hanji Chueok (Recollections) is one of the better-known craft shops in Insa-dong and has even been featured by a number of international magazines. Prepared using Korean traditional processing methods, hanji is a type of beautiful, high-quality paper. Hanji Chueok is a great place to experience the tradition of hanji crafts; hanji crafts, accessories, photo frames, and interior design items line the store shelves. Visitors can not only purchase extremely well-crafted items, but can also participate in seminars taught by professional artists to learn how to make their own hanji crafts. Of course, visitors are free to take home their hanji creations at the conclusion of the seminar.


Chungcheongbuk-do(Cheongju-si)

About hundred years ago, the "Cheongju Eupseong Fortress" existed in the middle what is today's Cheongju-si. The fortress had two main gates connecting its northern and southern points, as well as a main avenue crossing the village formed inside the fortress. The name for this avenue, called Seongan-gil (literally 'road inside the fortress'), makes a clear statement as to the role it has served in the city throughout the decades.Geographically located in the heart of the city, the place still serves as the central commercial area of Cheongju, drawing in crowds of both young people and older residents. Being the top tourist attraction in the region, the city government designated the area as a 'car free street,' making it a pedestrian-friendly place for shopping and meandering. Only registered and shipping vehicles can enter the area, but only in the morning until noon. After that time, all vehicular access is prohibited.With its popular attractions, such as the Rodeo shopping district, the iron flagpole of Yongdusa Temple Site, as well as other major department stores, movie theaters, and recreational parks, Seongan-gil is a favorite gathering place for residents of Cheongju.


Seoul(Jung-gu) , Dongdaemun

The Hwanghakdong Flea Market is an extensive used-goods market with over 500 shops. The flea market is also popularly known as the ‘Doggaebi (Korean folk creature) Market’ and ‘All-Things Market’ due to its variety of goods ranging from antiques to interior furnishings. Hence, the Hwanghakdong Flea Market is a famous destination among many foreigners. In the past, the Hwanghak-dong Flea Market was the nation’s trade center for antique goods, and now, the market offers a wide variety of products ranging from cameras, refrigerators, washing machines and TVs to old money, antique paintings, cosmetics, clothes, Buddha statues and more. The flea market sells used goods as well as new ones. Not to worry though, as all used products have been renewed and repaired with a 50% markdown, while new products can be purchased at 20-30% off the retail price. The Hwanghakdong Flea Market is divided into five sections. First, a one-storey building holds a variety of shops selling old books, electronics, and videos. Second, the alleyway between Samil Apartments 15-dong and 16-dong near Cheonggyecheon 7-ga Street is known as the antique street. Electronic stores are gathered in the area behind Samil Apartment 13-dong and the Seongdong Technical High School all the way to Samil Apartment 17-dong, selling TVs, refrigerators, car stereos, air conditioners, video games, and more. Finally, the machinery stores are located on the second street of Jungang Market. The flea market is generally open from 9am to 7pm, with the exception of the electronics district which is open until 10pm.    


Seoul(Mapo-gu) , Yeouido・Yeongdeungpo・Mapo

Dorocy means "Gift of God" in Greek. It specializes in jewelries and offers outstanding repair/maintenance services. It is a popular shop among women because of its colorful items. Various items range from inexpensive to expensive prices. Professional assistants give visitors tips on how to choose items matching up well with their clothing. Designers of Dorocy have completed GIA GG, GIA Design, and IGI EG courses in Santa Monica, the United States and produce items with unique designs.


Busan(Haeundae-gu) , Haeundae

Located on the 1st floor of Home Plus Haeundae Busan, the souvenir shop sells a range of souvenirs for visitors to the second-largest city in Korea. The shop also sells the winners of a tourist souvenir contest (2012 Korea Tourist Souvenir Contest and winners of the 2012 Busan Tourist Souvenir Contest as well as the souvenirs created by companies that are certified members of the Korea Tourist Souvenir Association. The store is open from 10:00-22:00.


Seoul(Jongno-gu) , Insadong・Jongnon

“Artshop Mu” is an art store that sells hand-made jewelry created by owner and jewelry artist Jin Jin-suk. Each piece of jewelry sold here is hand-made using exotic rocks, beads and oriental pendants imported from India and Nepal.Popular among those in their thirties and forties, necklaces sell for around 200,000-300,000won, while earrings and bracelets are sold at around 100,000won. 


Seoul(Mapo-gu) , Hongik-University-Area

Dongjin Market is the only traditional market located in Yeonnam-dong, and operates much as a normal market on weekdays. However, Dongjin Market operates a special Night Market on Fridays, as well as special Saturday and Sunday markets. The market changes into a format of a flea market on the weekends with people selling handmade accessories and produce grown within the city. The market also offers a cooking workshop and other dynamic programs.
