Lotte World Tower will be holding Lotte World Tower Firework Festival on April 2, 2017 from 19:30 to 12:30. The celebration begins with opening ceremony performed by DJ DOC, Hong, Jin-young, a cappella group D.I.A, Songpa Philharmonic Orchestra and Songpa Boys and Girls Choir at a special performance stage. Spectacular fireworks display of 30,000 fireworks will embroider the night sky for 11 minutes starting from 21:00. Lotte World Tower will mesmerize visitors with fireworks that light up the night sky in accordance to eight different background music of diverse genre such as jazz and pop, along with the fascinating musical fireworks display at Seokchonhosu Lake. The Itaewon Global Village Festival, held every fall, brings together a fun mix of Korean traditions and foreign cultures and stands out as one of the most internationally diverse celebrations of Seoul. It is indeed a fantastic multicultural event where people learn about and experience different culturals. A range of events take place during the festival beginning with an opening ceremony, performances of traditional dance from home and abroad as well as the Global Food Festival which runs throughout the weekend.

C-Festival features the Global MICE (MICE: meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions) Business Convergence festival, existing only in Korea. The festival is host by MICE clusters committe and it comprises of 13 corporations located in COEX World Trade Center, which will take place in the district throughout the trade center and Yeongdong-daero.Located in the heart of Seoul, it features a new concept of exhibition convention along with various promotional indoor and outdoor events, varied cultural art performances, exhibitions, concerts, musicals and plays that entertain visitors entertain the festival.

Everland Summer Splash, one of the main summer festivals in Everland, is held annually from June to August. The festival is packed with various programs like splash parades, fireworks and a 3D mapping show held at night, and a new themed garden, featuring more hands-on contents for visitors. 

The pride of Daehangno, the musical "Hwarang", is playing at Dahangno Art Madang. Hwarang has been played for more than 800 times in Daehangno and as it reaches its 1,000th performance, the musical numbers will also be rearranged for a more magnificent show and traditional musical instruments will be incorporated into the performances.

As part of the Creation of Living Palaces project, the Changdeokgung Palace Moonlight Tour offers a unique opportunity to witness and experience palatial beauty. The tour begins from the main gate, Donhwamun Gate (돈화문), and continues on for approximately two hours through Injeongjeon Hall (인정전), Nakseonjae (낙선재), and Huwon (후원, meaning "secret garden"). To make a reservation, visit the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation website. Reservations are accepted from 20 days before the event.Initially built as a royal villa, Changdeokgung Palace became the central governance compound during the Joseon Dynasty after the former principal palace, Gyeongbokgung Palace, was burned to the ground during the Japanese invasion in the 16th century. In addition to its political significance, the palace is known for its aesthetics and architecture, set against breathtaking natural scenery. In 1997, UNESCO designated Changdeokgung Palace as a World Cultural Heritage site.

Guwau Village (Taebaek, Gangwon-do) is host to the Taebaek Sunflower Festival, a celebration of the area’s wide array of colorful wildflowers and endless fields of sunflowers (the largest sunflower patch in Korea). The festival takes place in about a 661,157㎡ filled with 300 species of wild flowers along with a sunflower field walking path and other hands-on program with wild flowers. 

Deoksugung Palace has held a guard-changing ceremony since 1996 after thorough historical research by leading historians. The ceremony, which is held in front of the Daehanmun Gate of Deoksugung Palace, is a tradition similar to the Changing of the Guards at Buckingham Palace and offers a rare opportunity to experience royal culture. The royal gate is opened and closed at pre-determined times, and the gatekeepers in charge of guard duty and patrols hold a shift ceremony three times a day. Special Programs: The Royal Guard-Changing Ceremony is a highly recommended event for tourists. It is held three times a day (11:00 / 14:00 / 15:30) in front of Daehanmun Gate at Deoksugung Palace. As each ceremony follows the same procedure and lasts for thirty minutes, visitors can choose whichever time is most convenient. The ceremony is free of charge. There are no ceremonies on Mondays as well as on severely cold or hot days.As the ceremony begins, the changing of the guards commences replete with traditional musical instruments, and exchanges a password for verification. An eight-minute guard ceremony ensues, followed by a seven-minute change ceremony, and finally a patrol that completes the ceremony. The procedure takes a dramatic turn when 18 guards in six official positions beat a drum and bellow some orders. Major Highlights: The Royal Guard-Changing Ceremony is a great opportunity to experience a rare traditional scene. Be sure to bring a camera. The guards’ splendid costumes, with their brilliant primary colors, are a pleasure to view. While you cannot take pictures with the guards during the changing of guards, you can take a background picture of the guards and palace. You can also take photographs with the gatekeepers after the ceremony is over. Visit the palace and enjoy the beauty of Korean palaces following the ceremony.

The Christmas Fantasy festival at Everland runs for nearly two months.
