The Odusan Unification Observatory opened to the public in 1992. It is one of the national tourist spot where foreigners choose to visit and experience the stark reality of the divided Peninsula. From this observation platform, Songaksan Mountain in the city of Gyeseongi and 63 Building in Seoul are visible.This observatory has five floors above ground and one underground. Various photos and computerized screens showing the reality of North Korea are displayed on the first and second floor. Products from North Korea can also be purchased here.

Imperial Palace Hotel first opened on September 18, 1989, starting as a first grade hotel and becoming a superior deluxe hotel after 10 years in June, 1999. The hotel has remained the pride of the Korean hotel industry thanks to its effective management and improving domestic capital. In 2005, it carried out a large-scale remodeling project to enlarge its size to resemble luxurious European hotels, including a large-sized lobby, convention center that can accommodate over 1,000 visitors, classical wedding hall, and 450 various-type rooms. The hotel is part of a chain, along with Imperial Palace Boutique Hotel in Itaewon and Imperial Palace Hotel – Fukuoka in Japan. A new chain in Osaka is planned to open in October 2016, increasing the hotel’s standing as an international hotel brand.


Daejeon(Yuseong-gu)

Expo Park is the country’s only theme park promoting the latest sciences and technology in a learning facility that aims to raise public awareness in society, and was established following the closing of the Daejeon Expo in 1993The park features several themed pavilions for visitors to choose from, including: the world’s largest I-Max theater, a 3D theater, an I-Max dome theater, a Simulation Theater, Body World, the Electric Energy Pavilion, the Energy Pavilion, the Nature and Life Pavilion, the North Korea Pavilion, and the Tower of Great Light.There are programs offered year-round introducing science to newcomers in an easy and fun way that include various fun and interesting scientific experiments. Additionally, the park also features an Aqua Resort, a water play facility for families, and also a solar power generation system.With the theme of “Youth, Love, Romance and Family,” Hanbit Square in particular, is an amazing night attraction where visitors can experience an exotic atmosphere combining a large and colorful flowerbed spread over 6,477 pyeong (approximately 21,411 square meters) of land, a dynamic Music Fountain that also displays a special flame effect, and a breathtaking fireworks show.The Park’s other facilities include a Maglev Train (monorail), playing fields and multiple facilities for holding special events, such as performing halls. There is also the CMB Expo Art Hall with 1,105 seats and the Convention Center equipped with a six-language interpretation system.

The COEX Aquarium is spread out over a large area and showcases no less than 40,000 sea creatures, which come from 600 different species. The aquarium is unique in Korea because it has been designed around the theme of “Water Journey”. On entering the museum, visitors will embark on an adventure that follows water on its journey from the high Andean mountains, through the Amazon tropical rainforest to swamps, rivers, seashores, and finally to the depths of the ocean. Visitors will get an in-depth look into some of the world’s fascinating underwater creatures.

Jajangmyeon (black soy bean noodles) is one of Korean's most beloved dishes, known to have originated from Chinatown in Seollin-dong, Jung-gu of Incheon. This birthplace of jajangmyeon also houses a special museum dedicated to the dish, introducing its history, progress in development, and the influence and value it effected on Korea. The museum took an empty brick building and restored it for the citizens, allowing visitors to trace the history of the community which is inevitably deeply connected. The COEX, Convention and Exhibition Center is a large-scale business town established on September 7, 1988, primarily for domestic and overseas businessmen. Business operations can be managed easily as assembly halls, exhibition halls, the Korean City Air Terminal, the Intercontinental Hotel, and Hyundai Department Store are assembled in one spot. A 57-story assembly hall contains 20 trade organizations including the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), and 250 companies and financial institutions. Convention and Exhibition, which houses three specialized exhibition halls and permanent exhibition halls, is composed of a four-story main building and three-story extension. It is located at a convenient spot as Samseong subway station is directly connected to the basement. Gimpo Airport is only 40 minutes away and Incheon International Airport is about an hour and 30 minutes away.
