Oksang Dalbit is a popular chicken restaurant in Hongdae with garlic pepper chicken as its specialty. The K Art Hall (Formerly, Seoul Center of Education and Culture) is located in Yangjae-dong, Seocho-gu district. The natural surroundings are beautiful, and the air is very clean. The center has one basement floor, and eleven floors above ground. Its main facilities include the main theater, which can provide for an audience of 1,000, the Culture Center, Art Exhibit, Education Promotion Center, and the Sports Center. Outside the building are the Grass Square, Sculpture Park and Drive-in Theater. The main theater can hold a variety of performances such as plays, dances, movies, operas, musicals, and others. There are frequently performances for children as well. At times, the theater is used as an international stage, as in the case of the Russian Leningrad Ballet company’s performance in 1991. The Culture Center has guest quarters and convention halls, and so is often used for conferences. The Sports Center has an indoor gymnasium, a swimming pool, health and aerobics rooms, a bowling alley, and a golf practice range. The facilities here are used primarily as a resting area. One unusual facility is the outdoor Drive-in Theater. Called “Karma 21,” the theater can accommodate a total of 250,000 cars. Each car is charged 15,000 won a ticket. Usually the latest releases are shown here. The theater is located in “Yangjae People’s Grove” Park, which boasts a very clean environment. It is the perfect spot to relax while enjoying a movie in the fresh air.

The restaurant is famous for spicy naengmyeon and has been around since 1983. This Korean dishes restaurant is located in Songpa-gu, Seoul. The most famous menu is cold buckwheat noodles.


Seoul(Yongsan-gu) , Euljiro・Chungmuro・Namsan

Originally known as Unamjeong Pavilion, the pvailion was built to comemorate Lee Seung-mahn in 1959, was demolished by the 4.19 movement in 1960, and then rebuilt on November 11, 1968.This pavilion now sits atop Namsan Mountain, with views covering the entirity of Seoul below.

Mobum Tteok-bokki was established in 1976 and operations been handed down over 4 generations. Mobum is the originator of chadolbagi tteok-bokki (beef brisket and stir-fried rice cake).  Another unique aspect of Mobum’s tteok-bokki is that the tteok (rice cakes) are specially made and served in 30cm long lengths. Diners then cut the tteok to their desired eating size.  Mobum's representative dish is their chadolbagi tteok-bokki (beef brisket and stir-fried rice cake), but another well known menu item is their whole squid tteok-bokki. Additionally, diners can add garnishes to their tteok-bokki such as noodles, dumplings, and jumeok-bap (riceballs), and more!

Central City, located in Banpo-dong, Gangnam-gu, is a high-end lifestyle cultural complex that is often thought of as “a city in the city.” Main landmarks at the complex are Shinsegye Department Store, Marriott Hotel, Central Park, and Millennium Hall, which is mainly used as a venue for weddings and other large events. Convenient facilities include banks, hospitals, investment banks, a post office and a large parking lot. The Central City building is not only praised for its advanced architecture, but has also become a main hangout spot for Korean youth. In particular, Marquis Plaza (a high-end luxury shopping mall), Synnara Record music store, Youngpoong Bookstore, and Central 6 (a multiplex theater), and the high-tech arcade are attract the younger generation, especially on the weekends. The entire area of Central City measures 430,000㎡(approximately 130,000 pyeong) and is one of the largest single buildings in the country. Over 200,000 people pass through Central City each day, as it is part of a major subway station (Express Bus Terminal Station) and express bus terminal.

Arko Art Gallery (formerly Marronnier Art Gallery) is located inside Marronnier park in Daehakno, where many youth flock. Daehakno is a place where many couples have their dates and is beloved by the artisans who use the area as a performance center. The Arko Art Gallery is situated in the partk. The Arko Art Gallrey was founded by the Korean Culture Promotion Department to flourish and enrich the Korean arts. Founded in 1979, when there were not many exhibition spaces for artists, it was a place of hope for many of them. With low general exhibit fees and relatively important self-planned exhibit openings, it became a place that contributed significantly to the development of Korean art.The exhibits taking place in the Arko Art Gallery can be divided into two. One is the General Exhibition and the other is the Planning Exhibition. Both of these exhibitions take place in the small gallery on the 1st floor. Since the exhibits are admitted through strict screening it is recommended that you just go and visit them. There is no admission fee. However, during August, repairs usually takes place. You should try to avoid visiting the gallery during that time or you should call and inquire about the opening times. On the 2nd floor there is a family café. There are six computers to use along with refreshments, so you might want to visit it as well. There are many other places to rest and drink along Daehakno street. While walking through Marronnier Park if there is a specific place you are interested in, just visit it. Wherever you visit, the place's unique atmosphere will be evident. During the Christmas season especially, you may not even find a vacant seat in the area. It is that crowded and popular.
