Onyang Hot Springs is the oldest hot spring in Korea, founded about 1,300 years old and has been operating as a hot spring for about 600 years. During the Joseon Period, it is recorded that King Sejong (reign 1418~1450) and many other kings came here to rest or treat their illnesses.Onyang Hot Springs, with its water temperature at around 57℃, is considered hot even among hot springs. It has a high concentration of radium and its alkaline water is both high in quality and quantity. It is known to be effective in treating neuralgia, arthritis, skin problems, liver disease, high blood pressure, and various geriatric diseases. The combination of the quality of water and famous accommodations nearby has made this hot spring a hot item for many tourists. As there are 120 hotels and motels in this area, the whole city is sometimes known as a hot spring city. They also have swimming pools using the hot spring water, and they are very popular. Every year over five million tourists are welcome here.


Incheon(Bupyeong-gu) , Bupyeong

The history of Bupyeong 5-dong Haemultang Street began 30-40 years ago, when there were just three restaurants on the street. Over the years, the street gained a reputation for serving delicious haemultang (seafood stew), and there are now eleven seafood restaurants on the street. Each restaurant offers a rich, yet distinctly different flavored seafood stew prepared with aromatic vegetables and fresh seafood purchased from the marketplace every morning. The Haemultang Street has become so popular that many people travel the long distance from Seoul just for a satisfying meal of seafood stew. The restaurants specialize in stew and steamed seafood dishes, but also continue to develop new fusion menus to please all taste buds.  


Daejeon(Dong-gu)

Daejeon Jungang Market is a large comprehensive market consisting of many smaller markets including the Jungang Comprehensive Market, Jungang Arcade Market, Jayu Wholesale Market, New Jungang Market, and Jungang Wholesale Market. Daejeon Jungang Market is located in downtown Dong-gu and is one of the most famous traditional markets in the city. The market has many different sections (dried seafood street, hardware street, fish street, herbal medicine street, hanbok street, delicacy street, etc.) which stretch all the way from Daejeon Station to the banks of the Daejeoncheon Stream.


Seoul(Songpa-gu) , Jamsil(Lotte World)

3F The Market (Jeoja) Street of the Lotte World Folk Museum is located on the third floor of the Lotte World Shopping Mall. Traditional restaurants are located on the Market Street, giving visitors the chance to taste many unique, traditional delicacies. Traditional art shops are located here as well, where visitors can watch skilled craftsmen making handicrafts. There is also a Performance Hall (Nanjang) providing a variety of exciting performances of traditional songs and dances for visitors to enjoy. 2F Sejong Bookstore, the largest bookstore in Gangnam is located on the second floor. Boutiques, as well as Hanbok (traditional Korean dress) shops can also be found on this floor. 1F The fashion area sits on the first floor, and is composed of sports & casual wear, fashion accessories and other fashion merchandise for the youth, including discounts on men's suits, and A/V and sports equipment. Popular restaurants on the first floor include a Korean restaurant called ‘Our Story’ and western restaurants such as ‘TGI Friday’s’ and ‘Time to Time.' B1 For shopping and entertainment, the ‘International Market Street’ is the place to be. Here, you can find both inexpensive and high-quality goods ranging from clothes and accessories to miscellaneous goods. There are also five movie theaters located at the ‘Young Plaza’, along with the latest fashion trends. The International Market Street offers a wide selection of restaurants to suit different tastes, such as Korean, Japanese, and Chinese restaurants. Furthermore, fresh groceries can be purchased for low prices at the ‘Traditional Market’. Moreover, an entertainment attraction called the SBS Theme Studio holds many broadcasting events and internet game competitions including the KIGL (Korea Internet Game League). An ice rink is also located in the area, along with the Lotte World Adventure and a great selection of cafes for visitors to enjoy. B3 A food court including restaurants such as Sizzler and Marché are located on B3. Seoul(Jung-gu) , Euljiro・Chungmuro・Namsan

Chungmuro Jjukkumi Bulgogi has been loved by customers for 40 years with only Sutbulgui jjukkumi bulgogi (charcoal-grilled ocellated octopus with bulgogi). In particular, their special sauce for jjukkumi seasoning features properly spicy and sweet taste adding more flavor to the dish.    


Jeju-do(Jeju-si) , The Eastern Part of the Jeju Island

Jeju Love Land is a theme sculpture park based on sensuality and eroticism. Twenty artists, mainly graduates of top art school Hongik University, helped open it in November 2004. It was the first such museum in Korea at that time. The spacious park (39,667m²) is home to over 140 sculptures (40 within the gallery and 100 outside). The park as a whole looks like a piece of land art. Jeju Love Land is open every day. It usually takes 30-40 minutes to look around the park. Jeju Love Land houses a glass-dome restaurant, an outdoor café, an art shop, and various works which visitors can touch. Opened in 1979, Kukjae Embroidery specializes in embroidered crafts using Korean traditional patterns. Every product is handicrafted, delicate, and elegant. Kukjae Embroidery is known as a frequent destination of foreign dignitaries. It offers a seminar in which international tourists can learn how to make embroidered crafts.


Busan(Yeongdo-gu)

Fish cakes are one of the most popular snacks in Busan. Among many fish cake makers in the city, Samjin Fish Cake is the oldest fish cake producer. Its main store in Yeongdo looks like a bakery shop. Visitors can choose among a variety of fish cakes and there is a separate space in the store where they can eat purchased fish cakes.
